Terms and Conditions of Sale
Last updated: August 9, 2026
These Terms and Conditions of Sale ("Terms") govern purchases made through the RoastRitual by Laura Lopez Ledesma online store.
By placing an order through our website, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms.
1. Seller Information
The website and online store are operated by:
Trade name: RoastRitual by Laura Lopez Ledesma
Legal owner: Laura Lopez Ledesma
Business address: 6 Rue Georges Duthu, 21600 Longvic, France
Email: support@roastritual.shop
2. Scope
These Terms apply to all purchases of products made through the RoastRitual online store by consumers.
The products offered for sale are described on their respective product pages. Product photographs are provided for illustrative purposes, and reasonable variations in appearance may occur where appropriate.
The applicable Terms are those in effect at the time the customer places an order.
3. Products
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices, availability, and other information displayed on the website are accurate and up to date.
If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible and, where applicable, refund any amount already paid for the unavailable product.
4. Prices
All prices are displayed in euros (€) and include applicable taxes unless expressly stated otherwise.
Shipping costs, where applicable, are displayed separately before the customer completes the order.
The total amount payable by the customer, including applicable delivery charges, will be displayed before the order is confirmed.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted and confirmed.
5. Orders
To place an order, the customer selects the desired products, adds them to the shopping cart, provides the required information, selects a delivery method, and proceeds to payment.
Before submitting the order, the customer has the opportunity to review and correct any errors.
By clicking the final order confirmation button, the customer confirms the order and agrees to pay the total amount displayed at checkout.
An order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided by the customer.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in circumstances permitted by law, including where there is a genuine pricing or technical error, suspected fraudulent activity, or inability to fulfil the order.
6. Payment
Payment is due at the time the order is placed unless another payment arrangement is expressly offered at checkout.
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.
Payments are processed through the payment service providers made available through our Shopify store. We do not have access to customers' full payment card details where payment is processed by a third-party payment provider.
7. Delivery
Orders are processed and shipped according to the processing and delivery times stated in our Shipping Policy.
Estimated delivery times may vary depending on the destination, shipping method, carrier, customs procedures, and other circumstances.
The customer will receive shipping information and tracking details where available.
We are responsible for delivering the goods in accordance with applicable consumer law. The risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to the consumer when the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, physically acquires possession of the goods, unless the consumer has chosen a carrier not offered by us.
If a delivery is delayed, the customer may exercise the rights available under applicable French consumer law.
8. Right of Withdrawal
For most purchases made online, consumers have a 14-day legal right of withdrawal without having to provide a reason. For goods, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer, physically receives the goods.
To exercise this right, the customer must notify us of their decision to withdraw before the 14-day period expires.
The customer may contact us at:
Email: support@roastritual.shop
The customer may use the model withdrawal form provided at the end of these Terms, although use of that exact form is not mandatory.
Return of Products
After notifying us of the withdrawal, the customer must return the products without undue delay and, in principle, no later than 14 days after communicating their decision to withdraw.
Unless otherwise stated, the direct cost of returning the products is the responsibility of the customer.
Products should be returned securely packaged and, where possible, in their original packaging.
The customer may be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
Refunds
When the customer validly exercises the right of withdrawal, we will reimburse the payments received from the customer, including the standard delivery cost charged for the original shipment.
Where permitted by law, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or the customer has provided evidence that the goods have been returned.
Refunds will generally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless the customer expressly agrees to another method.
9. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply in circumstances where French law provides an applicable exception.
Depending on the products sold by RoastRitual, this may include goods that are made according to the customer's specifications or clearly personalized, and certain goods that are sealed and cannot be returned for reasons of health protection or hygiene once unsealed.
Where an exception applies to a particular product, the customer will be informed before placing the order.
10. Legal Guarantees
All products sold to consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity and the legal guarantee against hidden defects, under the conditions provided by French law.
The legal guarantee of conformity applies in accordance with Articles L.217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code.
The seller is required to provide the consumer with a product that conforms to the contract and is liable for existing conformity defects under the conditions established by law.
Consumers may also benefit from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code.
These legal guarantees apply independently of any commercial warranty that may be offered.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that consumers are legally entitled to exercise.
11. Complaints and Customer Service
For any question, complaint, or issue concerning an order, please contact us first:
Email: support@roastritual.shop
Postal address: 6 Rue Georges Duthu, 21600 Longvic, France
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints as quickly as possible.
12. Consumer Mediation
In accordance with applicable French consumer law, consumers may have the right to use a consumer mediator free of charge after first submitting a written complaint to the seller and where the conditions for mediation are met.
13. Personal Data
Personal information collected when placing an order is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The information may be used to process orders, provide customer service, arrange delivery, process payments, comply with legal obligations, and for other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Intellectual Property
All content appearing on the RoastRitual website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, product descriptions, designs, and other materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No content may be reproduced, distributed, modified, or used without prior authorization, except where permitted by law.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
We cannot be held responsible for temporary website unavailability caused by maintenance, technical problems, third-party services, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
16. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
17. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by French law.
Consumers retain the benefit of any mandatory protections provided by the laws applicable to their place of residence where such protections cannot lawfully be excluded.
Before taking legal action, customers are encouraged to contact us so that we can attempt to resolve the matter amicably.
18. Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, products, services, or applicable legal requirements.
The Terms applicable to an order are those in effect when the order is placed.
